Yup. We’re those people now. Bloggers.
Well… not really. It’s just that after a couple of years of living in Mexico and traveling around a bit, we’re realizing that we’re awful about 1) taking photos and 2) doing anything with the photos that we do take.
Sometimes we want to look back over a trip, remember some of the highlights, and flip through some photos. But digging through folders of photos labeled something like:
“IMG_20190606_140414.jpg”
on a computer just doesn’t have that good old feeling of flipping through a photo album.
And after seeing what the humidity and mold does to actual photo albums here, we figured something digital would be the best option. There’s also the fact that the less physical stuff we have, the easier it is to move or downsize whenever the need comes up.
And last but not least, sometimes we want to share some of these photos or experiences with family and friends. While video chat is awesome and lets us catch up with everyone back home, it’s a bit much to try to show photos over Hangouts. Also, flooding our Instagram accounts with our photos isn’t fun for anyone who wasn’t expecting a photo dump… Then there are other times that we want to share something that’s interesting to us because we’re not from Mexico, but our friends that have lived here for a while probably don’t want to hear the “El Panadero Con El Pan” jingle for the 5th time that day.
So yeah… we’ll be adding to this blog for a bit as a hobby and as a way to record some memories for us to look over in the future. That being said, if you found your way here, feel free to dig through some of these posts and creep look over some of our experiences.
